Terms and conditions

Read the terms and conditions that apply when using this website and working with Cambridge Bespoke Renovations.

1. Acceptance

Contracting the supplier to carry out work or accepting a quote constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2. Quotes and estimates

Quotes are valid for 30 days. The supplier may rely on customer-provided plans and may charge for unforeseen additional work.

3. Price

The price is the invoiced or accepted quoted price and may change for requested variations or hidden and unforeseen difficulties.

4. Payment

A deposit may be required before work begins. Progress payments are due on the terms stated on invoices, and overdue amounts may attract interest and recovery costs.

5. Provision of the works

Work will start as soon as reasonably possible. Completion may be extended for customer delays, government requirements, material or labour shortages, weather, or other events beyond the supplier's control.

6. Customer responsibilities

The customer must provide clear site access and ensure required scaffolding and fall protection meet applicable safety requirements.

7. Liability on claims

Claims must be made in writing within 10 working days of the invoice. Accepted claims may be repaired, replaced, or credited, and manufacturer warranties will be pursued where applicable.

8. Ownership and PPSR

Ownership of supplied goods remains with the supplier until all money owed is paid. The supplier may register and enforce its security interest.

9. Consumer Guarantees Act

Where goods or services are supplied for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

10. Information and privacy

Customer information may be collected and used to operate the business and recover debts, subject to rights of access and correction under privacy law.

11. Construction Contracts Act

Default provisions of the Construction Contracts Act 2002 apply where these terms or a mutual agreement do not provide otherwise.

12. Delivery and risk

Risk in supplied goods passes to the customer when the goods are delivered.

13. Variations

Unforeseen supplier price increases and changes caused by inaccurate plans or specifications may be treated as variations.
